Trainee presentations (students, post-docs) will be 10 minutes each:

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstract submission:  Submit your abstract (or questions) to: email.gems@gmail.com

Please send your abstract no later than Wednesday, November 4th

Topic: Trainee abstracts should relate to genetics, epigenetics, or mutagenicity, they do not have to pertain directly to the meeting topic. Trainees can present materials that have been presented at other meetings.

Title:  Capitalize main words, title should be in bold.

Authors:  Please use full names - first, middle initial, last.  Underline the presenting author’s name.

Affiliations:  Please use superscripted numbers to indicate affiliations.  Include institution, city, state, and zip code.

Abstract text:  Limited to 250 words, use 1.15 line spacing, use Times New Roman font, 11 or 12 pt.

Trainee Presentation Instructions

Trainees can make a traditional powerpoint presentation or make a quad chart

Each student presentation will be 7-8 minutes without 2 minutes for questions (a typical powerpoint presentation or a quad chart are permitted).

To make a quad chart presentation, a powerpoint slide is divided into four equal quadrants. The top left quadrant should contain the project objectives, the top right quadrant should highlight the methods, the bottom left quadrant should cover the main results, and the bottom right quadrant should cover the impact.
